#WeAreWithYou: Sheffield Students Mark Palestinian Prisoners' Day

We students in Sheffield join the international solidarity movement in demanding the immediate release of all Palestinian political prisoners. This call is now more urgent than ever as they face two threats: the systematic dehumanisation of the Israeli prison service and coronavirus. Israel currently holds 5,000 Palestinian detainees, including 43 women, hundreds of children and students, 700 sick or injured. Despite pandemic, Israel has detained 357 Palestinians in March only. “Do not abandon us. Do not let us die slowly by means of disease on our prison beds… Act now," they urged the international community in a plea from Israeli jails. With a history of resistance and strikes that committed to hunger until either martyrdom or freedom, we cannot accept such an undignified death on them.Together we say: We are not free until the Palestinian people are free!Follow Addameer Prisoner Support & Human Rights Association for more info on this plight and ways on how you can take action! #FreeOurPrisoners #PalestinianPrisonersDay #WeAreWithYou #Coronavirus #Covid_19
